Doublet is based on the fencing treaty ‘Hans Talhoffer Alte Armatur und Ringkunst’ from 1459. Made of 2 layers of fabric (wool or linen). It has short lower section with holes for trousers/hoses attachment. V-type collar and deeply sawn sleeves. Often the sleeves and the collar differed in colour from the torso. In front, the doublet is fastened in 3 places. The sleeves are tighter around the wrists.
